On June 1, Snohomish United played its inaugural home game of the 2026 USL W League season against Bigfoot FC. And after a 1-1 stalemate to Bigfoot the week prior, Snohomish United posted a 4-0 shutout with goals from Makenna Holub (4′), Saleen Koszorus (44′, 86′) and Cameron Bourne (77′).
In November 2025, the USL W League announced the addition of another pre-professional women’s franchise in Washington state, but it was the first in Snohomish County.
Part of the Snohomish United program, this addition created a new opportunity for female players to continue their soccer endeavors beyond the youth scene while still playing for their local club, coaches and teammates. The formation of the USL women’s franchise also came a year after the USL League Two men’s squad’s inception in June 2025.
Now, fast-forward to May 2026, the women’s team is well underway in its inaugural season, and they are currently second in the Western Conference Northwest Division standings with six wins, one loss, one tie, 32 goals scored and eight goals conceded.
“As the club’s highest level of play, the team will provide a competitive summer platform for top collegiate athletes and aspiring professionals—allowing them to grow, compete, and inspire the next generation while maintaining NCAA eligibility,” according to the club’s website. “This expansion represents both growth and a return to our roots. Local players who began their journeys in our youth programs will now have the opportunity to continue competing at the next level—right here at home. By bringing the game back to where it all started, we hope to inspire young athletes across the region to dream bigger and see what’s possible.
“Home matches will deliver fast-paced, family-friendly action and a chance for fans to experience the excitement of elite women’s soccer in Snohomish,” as stated on the website. “Together, we’re building community pride, strengthening the player pathway, and celebrating the continued rise of the women’s game.”
