The USA Artistic Swimming (USAAS) Rising Star program provides athletes ages 10 and older not only time to enhance their skills under the guidance of Olympic, national team, collegiate and high-level coaches but also an opportunity to be selected to the All Star Camp in November.
Each year, there are six Rising Star Camps hosted across the country spanning August through September, and the Snohomish Aquatic Center served as the fourth stop from Sept. 12-13, led by USA National Team assistant coach Marivi Escalona, Olympic silver medalist Jaime Czarowski, Niloufar Esmaeili and Seattle Synchro coaches Patricia Camaran and Maria Romero.
Approximately 65 athletes from various clubs attended the 2026 USAAS Swimming Rising Star Camp, which included two days of water sessions focused on figures, elements, skills & drills and routines, land sessions focused on flexibility, extension and strength, classroom sessions focused on motivation and goal setting and an inspirational Q&A session led by Czarowski.
The Snohomish County Sports Commission thanks Heidi’s Sandwichboard for providing lunches for the coaches.
