The Everett AquaSox about to kickoff of their 40th season in Minor League Baseball! In the spirit of 40 years, we thought we would take a look back at the rich history of the AquaSox and their impact on the community.
Beginning in 1984, the team originally was known as the Everett Giants, who began as an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. In 1995, the team underwent a significant transformation when they became affiliated with the Seattle Mariners, marking the beginning of a longstanding partnership that continues to this day. Along with the change in affiliation came a rebranding, and the Everett Giants became the Everett AquaSox, a name reflecting the team’s connection to the Pacific Northwest and its iconic landscapes.
“I’ve been fortunate to have witnessed the magic of minor league baseball in Everett for nearly 30 years. I’ve seen it become deeply woven into a civic-minded culture that supports community-oriented family entertainment in a safe, clean and positive environment. It’s special. And there are many more memories to be made.”
