Bob Cummins Jr. is a 1993 Everett High graduate. During his high school days, he was on the Everett Rowing Team, and was on two U.S. Junior National Rowing teams – earning a bronze medal in 1993 in the eight plus. After high school, he rowed at Cornell University for two years then returned home to rehabilitate a significant back injury. While recovering from his injury, he attended Everett Community College. In 1996, he transferred to the University of Washington to continue his studies and row for the Husky crew.
By 1997 he was the stroke seat on the U.W. varsity boat. In 1997 and 1998, he was on the men’s 8 plus that won the National Intercollegiate Rowing Association’s (IRA) gold medal, and silver medal. While at U.W., Bob was in the bow seat of the U.S. Senior Team that won the gold medal in the 1997 World Championships, and was an alternate in 1998 U.S. Men’s National Team. Cummins Jr., known as a fierce competitor, received the 1996-97 U.W. Top Dawg Award for all U. W. athletics. During 2001-02, he was coach of U.W.’s Men’s Varsity Crew 4. In 2008, he was inducted into the Husky Hall of Fame.

Bob is now a Bellevue chiropractor who serves his community with the vision of “Gold Medal Health” along with his wife, Olympic Gold Medalist, Ann Mickelson Cummins. He enjoys visiting family in Everett with his three young daughters.
