2003-2004 Meadowdale High School
Girls Basketball team
This team went into the state tournament as the number one ranked Class 3A team with 26 wins and only one loss. The team’s only loss was to Snohomish, a Class 4A school, which finished 5th place in the 4A state tournament. This Meadowdale team went on to win the 3A State Championship. The team was coached by the very successful coach, Karen Blair. From 1994-95 to 2004-05, the Meadowdale High girls’ basketball went to the state tournament 10 consecutive years and also won the state championship in 2000. The 2003-04 team was considered an exceptional one with six of the team members playing after high school at the college level and one competing collegiately in crew. Quinn Brewe, a senior, was Seattle Times State Player of the Year. The team consisted of five seniors, one junior, two sophomores, and five freshmen.
