Snohomish United competed against Ballard FC for the first time in the 2026 USL League Two season on June 10 at Veterans Memorial Stadium, and the 2-0 victory couldn’t have felt better for the local franchise. Not only did Aaron Leon net both goals and his team tally a shutout in front of their home crowd, but it was also solid payback for what occurred in the second round of the 2025 USL League Two playoffs.

May 2025 marked Snohomish United’s inaugural season in the pre-professional development league. And after finishing their first regular season, the team advanced to the playoffs. However, Snohomish United’s time in the postseason was cut short when Ballard secured a 2-1 win and went on to finish runner-up to first-time champion, Vermont Green FC, a team that recently repeated as 2026 champion.

Snohomish United appeared in the USL League Two playoffs for the second consecutive year this season but fell one game short of advancing to the second round. Colorado Storm rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Snohomish United 2-1 before being ousted by Ballard in the second round. Snohomish United finished the season with 11 wins, two losses and one tie, soring 39 goals and conceding 18. For having only been in the league two years and concluding both seasons with winning records and postseason appearances, the Snohomish County Sports Commission couldn’t be prouder to support the fast-growing franchise.
