Speeding is illegal, but that law was put on hold for a day at the fourth annual Esports with Police Tournament, hosted at the Tulalip Boys and Girls Club on July 23.
Thirty Snohomish County law enforcement mentors representing various agencies (i.e., police precincts, sheriff’s departments and Washington State Patrol) teamed up with more than 100 youth from several Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County chapters for possession of the Rocket League Championship trophy and bragging rights across the region.
The Everett Boys & Girls Club and Everett Police Department were champions in 2024 and the Mukilteo Boys & Girls Club and Mukilteo Police Department in 2025, but this year witnessed a new winning group: Granite Falls Boys & Girls Club and Granite Falls Police Department.
It was an exciting day of gaming, mentorship and community, and Dave and Buster’s Lynnwood provided lunch and wings for the Hot Wing Challenge, which resulted in a tie between the Everett Police Department and Williams Investments.
