Event Recap: 2025 Aquafest & Salty Sea Days
July 16, 2025

This past weekend, the Snohomish County Sports Commission made an appearance at the 2025 Aquafest and Salty Sea Days events.

Aquafest, annually held at North Cove Park in Lake Stevens, celebrated its 56th anniversary this year! Fully planned and executed by volunteers, the festival’s mission was to foster community pride and connection, showcase the abundance of recreational activities in the area, support local businesses and organizations and create summer memories for locals and visitors. And it did just that. The carnival returned, the popup museum and library book sale took place at The Mill, the firefighter’s pancake breakfast kicked off the Saturday and Sunday mornings, the Lake Stevens Rotary hosted the annual cornhole tournament, the Aquarun and Grande Parade filled Main Street, the Boat Parade rounded Lake Stevens and several other activities made the sunny weekend one to remember.

Salty Sea Days, which has been held in downtown Everett the same weekend as the Everett 3on3 basketball tournament for a few years now, brought locals and visitors to the 2900 block of Wetmore Avenue on Friday and Saturday. A giant Connect 4 and Jenga game, bean bag toss and 20-foot inflatable slide marked one end of the road while several food trucks, artists, bands and retail vendors filled the middle of the street.
