From Aug. 29-30, the 2026 Fairfest 3on3 basketball tournament took place at Galaxy Theatres in Monroe, wrapping up the final STARS Unlimited outdoor basketball tournament of the summer. More than 125 teams spanning 20 divisions traveled from up north and down south of Washington state to pack the parking lots and enjoy basketball, the movies and the opening weekend of the Evergreen State Fair.

Just like with Aquafest 3on3 being hosted the same weekend as the Lake Stevens Aquafest, the energy of Fairfest 3on3 paired with the long-awaited festivities of the fair truly defines the mission of the Snohomish County Sports Commission and our role in sports tourism: enhancing the quality of life and creating memories through sports.

“We’re so thankful for another great summer of hosting our 3on3 basketball tournaments and seeing so many families and communities come together,” said STARS Unlimited tournament director Jason Waltman. “As always, our ‘why’ goes beyond basketball. We want to create spaces where people can have fun, build connections, compete, encourage one another and make memories together.”
