Snohomish United and Snohomish Sky FC are based out of the same town, but that doesn’t make the match a “friendly” by any means.
On June 6 at Snohomish High School, the two local United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) squads met for the second time in the 2026 spring season on Matchday 10, and it was Snohomish United that tallied a 5-0 shutout and their second win of the head-to-head matchup. Snohomish United bested the Sky 4-2 previously on May 16.
The June 6 match also marked the Sky’s final game of the season, finishing eighth of 10 in the Washington Premier division with three wins, one draw, six losses, 24 goals scored and 33 conceded. Top goal scorers included forward Anthony Henry with 11 goals, midfielder Samuel Brendle with four and defender Ilya Mohov with two.
As for Snohomish United, they finished their season on June 28 with a 2-0 defeat to Bellevue Athletic in the UPSL Washington Premier Division title game, which was a different result from the previous matchup on May 10 where Snohomish United notched a 5-4 victory. The win for Bellevue slotted them into the 2026 UPSL National Finals bracket Round of 32. Snohomish United finished second in the standings with seven wins, three losses, 37 goals scored and 16 conceded. Top goal scorers included forwards Muhammed Darboe with 17, Azavier Coppin with six, River Stewart and Emmanuel Nyaga with five and midfielder Cirilo Fernandez with four.
